Privacy Policy

When you create a Bondaw account we collect your email address, your name or display name, your date of birth (used to confirm you are 18 or over and to set your age on your profile) and the photos you upload. You may also add optional details such as your bio, languages you speak, interests, job or education.

Information you place on your profile is visible to other Bondaw users who can see your profile. Please treat it as public within the app. You can edit or remove any profile field at any time from the app.

Your conversations are stored encrypted within your account on our hosting infrastructure (Supabase). They are accessible to you and to the people you are chatting with. We do not read your conversations for advertising, profiling or content recommendations.

To deliver both-ways live translation, message text is transmitted to our AI translation provider, DeepSeek, solely to produce the translated output that is returned to the chat. Message content sent for translation is not used to train models. Translation is a processing step, not a data-sharing arrangement — the provider acts on our instructions only.

Dating profiles must complete a live face scan. The scan is processed on your device. Verification screenshots are retained only for the purpose of a verification audit — that is, to allow us to review a verification decision or investigate abuse — and are not shown on your profile or shared with other users.

With your permission, we use your device location to show distance-based matches and to power Travel mode. Other users see an approximate distance only. Your exact coordinates are never displayed to another user. You can revoke location access in iOS Settings at any time; distance-based matching will stop working if you do.

We collect basic technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as device type, app version, crash reports, and sign-in events. This is used for reliability, fraud prevention and security — not for sale or advertising.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Service providers who process data on our instructions (hosting, translation, crash reporting, payment processing via Apple).
• Other users, limited to what you choose to place on your profile and what you send in chats.
• Authorities, where we are legally required to do so or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app at any time: Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile, photos, matches and messages from your account. Limited records may be retained where we have a legal obligation to keep them.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or contact us and we will help.

Bondaw is strictly for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we remove such accounts when we find them.

If we make material changes we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
